Is there anyway to add the title of the album that users are uploading in to the heading on the “Add Media” page.

For example:

It currently reads – “Add one or more media assets to this album.”

Change to read – “Add one or more media assets to Family album.”

Would it be possible to include breadcrumbs?

“Add one or more media assets to Family > Children album.”

You can do this if you have .NET skills and don’t mind changing the source code. I would have to do research to figure out the details and unfortunately that kind of effort is not included with the standard support assistance.

For those interested you can add the following to Public Methods in GalleryPage.cs:

public string GetAlbumTitle()
{
return _album.Title;
}

Then add the following into /gs/pages/task/addobjects.ascx to wherever you want the album title to appear:

<%= this.GetAlbumTitle() %>

You can comment out the following line in addobjects.ascx to remove the current header:

Or you can revise/remove the current header in /App_GlobalResources/GalleryServer.resx for “Task_Add_Objects_Header_Text”

/********UPDATE*******/

You can add bread crumbs by adding the following method to GalleryPage.cs.

*NOTE: I added this under the GetAlbum () method.

You can remove the “All Albums” link by revising the following:

public string GetBreadPath ()

{

   string albumCrumbs = _album.FullPhysicalPath;

   //This is where you need to do some experimenting. This method will return the full path of your directory.

   //the number is the amount of characters to remove from the beginning of the string to the name of the album.

   albumCrumbs = albumCrumbs.Substring(10);

   return albumCrumbs.Replace(“\\”,” > “);

}

Then add the following into /gs/pages/task/addobjects.ascx to wherever you want the album title to appear:

<%= this.GetBreadPath() %>
